Mzima provides dedicated SONET private line services via its dedicated optical transport platform. Delivered in traditional TDM increments, Mzima's SONET private line service is ideal for customers requiring the highest levels of data integrity or interoperability with voice switching equipment.
Mzima's SONET Private Line service consists of a metro SONET wavelength from Mzima's core backbone POP in each city to the specific remote location. Between backbone POPs, the circuit is built using Mzima's long-haul transport network based on Turin Networks' line of optical switching solutions, and provides for true SONET-level protection.
Provisioned via OC-3/STM-1, OC-12/STM-4 and OC-48/STM-16 interfaces, the service allows direct integration with existing infrastructure at both ends of the circuit. Mzima’s SONET Private Line service provides true, dedicated bandwidth in STS increments over SONET circuits. Service is available between cities across Mzima’s network and to points on- and off-net.
